PRACTICE

why  DO we

Not to perfect the body, or escape the mind
but to meet ourselves with clarity, consistency, and care.

At House of Yoga, practice is not performance. It is a steady return through breath, sensation, and attention.

Some days the work is quiet.
Some days it asks more of you.
Both belong.

There is nothing to achieve here.

Just the practice returning, again and again.

the heart of practice

Better your own Dharma though imperfection than the Dharma of another done perfectly. Dharma protects those that protect the Dharma.
— Bhagavad Gita

Purusharthas
“Aims of Life”

  • Dharma (duty/ethics) - We live in harmony with the rhythm and truth of divine order as instruments in the symphony of the universe.

  • Artha (prosperity/work) - We live in purpose and prosperity in all forms of being through dutiful service.

  • Kama (pleasure/desire) - We live in all that brings joy and richness to our life force–art, sensuality, love, beauty, community.

  • Moksha (liberation/freedom) - We live in liberation from ignorance and duality by honoring the divine consciousness within all beings and dissolving the illusion of the separate self.

Empowering all beings in illuminating their connection to the true Self.
